  • NC self-clinching nuts press into prepared sheet-metal holes to create reusable, load-bearing internal threads in thin aluminum, carbon steel, or stainless steel panels without loose backing hardware.
  • The NC series covers inch threads from 2-56 through 1/2-20 and metric threads from M2 x 0.4 through M12 x 1.75, with shank lengths matched to minimum sheet thickness and mounting-hole size.
  • Material and finish options include zinc clear chromate heat-treated carbon steel, passivated 300-series stainless steel, plain aluminum, and passivated heat-treated 400-series stainless steel for sheet hardness limits from HRB 50 to HRB 90.
  • For installation, locate the mounting hole away from bends, do not deburr the hole edge, and press the nut between parallel punch and anvil surfaces until the shoulder seats flush with the sheet.
