BS14 Self-Clinching Concealed Head Ball Studs


  • Install permanently in aluminum or steel sheets while keeping the back side smooth and unblemished for clean exterior panel surfaces.
  • Use a concealed-head self-clinching installation that seats the ball stud flange flush with the sheet when installed with proper punch and anvil tooling.
  • Support Sheet 1 thickness ranges from .025"-.256" (0.64-6.50mm), with multiple length codes available to match the panel stack-up.
  • Require a blind milled hole in Sheet 2 with .043" (1.09mm) minimum depth, .062" (1.57mm) minimum sheet thickness, and .250" (6.35mm) minimum edge distance from hole center.
  • Available in heat-treated carbon steel with zinc clear chromate finish or 300-series stainless steel with passivated and/or tested finish.
  • Provide average installation load ranges of 1200-1400 lbs. in 5052-H32 aluminum and 2300-2800 lbs. in 1008 carbon steel HRB 50 when installation specifications are followed.
