BS11 Female Thread Ball Studs
- Use female 6-32 UNC-2B or M3.5 x 0.6 6H threads to mount through a prepared sheet with a compatible male threaded fastener.
- Accommodate Sheet 1 thicknesses from .025"-.256" (0.64-6.50mm), with inch and metric length codes available to match the panel stack-up.
- Provide a minimum full-thread depth from .115"-.319" for inch parts and 2.92-8.10mm for metric parts, depending on selected length code.
- Install by punching or drilling the sheet, inserting the male threaded fastener through the hole, and securing the ball stud on the opposite side.
- Recommended installation torque is 7-10 in-lbs for 6-32 fasteners or 0.8-1.1 N-m for M3.5 fasteners, with a recommended minimum thread engagement of .138" or 3.5mm.
- Available in carbon steel with zinc SC1 Type III clear chromate per ASTM B633 or 300-series stainless steel passivated and/or tested per ASTM A967.
