Pencom has appointed Gregg Summers, P.E. the Director of Product Development. Mr. Summers fills the newly created position after performing as Pencom’s Director of Engineering for the last five of his seven years at Pencom.
He started his career as an officer in the Army Corps of Engineers after graduating with an Engineering degree from the University of Florida. He has gained over 20 years engineering design, testing and project management experience and earned his Professional Engineering license.
In this role, Mr. Summers will be responsible for developing new products and coordinating inter-departmental efforts at Pencom. Gregg Summers explains, “I’m very excited about this opportunity. We will be introducing several new products, streamlining our development process and adding increased value to existing product categories.”
Additionally, Mr. Summers will be working closely with customers and Pencom sales representatives by offering design assistance and training. He adds, “Pencom has a lot to offer our customers through our global manufacturing and distribution resources, technical support and electronic inventory management capabilities. I look forward to sharing my experience and providing solutions to our customers.”
